The 450 acre Nature Preserve area in Manzanita Park provides a fine example of maritime chaparral habitat. The park is home to 3 kinds of Manzanita shown on the home page.

  • Invasive Plants: There are also several non-native invasive plants in the park. These plants are called invasive because they aggressively compete with native plants and threaten the diversity of the habitat.
